Nothing like the smell of cinnamon in the the house after baking some nice cinnamon rolls, but what if I told you that you can experience the same smell and flavour but with oatmeal? 

Try this super easy recipe for your next breakfast, I assure you that you won't regret anything about it. It's calorie friendly and deliciously healthy.   

  • Serves: 2

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE OATMEAL

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1  1/2 Cups Rolled Oats (Make sure to use less liquid if you use instant oats)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 1 Tablespoon Yogurt
  • Drop of vanilla essence
  • Drop of honey
  • 1 teaspoon water

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR THE OATMEAL

  • Add the milk, water and rolled oats in a pot. Simmer for about 15 min or until it has a creamy consistency or the consistency you prefer.
  • Turn the stove off.
  • Add the honey, cinnamon and vanilla essence. Mix well.

FOR THE TOPPING

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl, add water as needed until you achieve the consistency you are looking for.

Serve the oatmeal in a bowl and add the yogurt topping to it. You can add extra cinnamon on top as well.
